Tasks and Responsibilities
Installation of fiber optic and network cables.
Clean and inspect fiber connections.
Label equipment and cables with customer specific designations.
Perform Smart Hands support on network and server hardware.
Troubleshooting hardware problems.
Racking and de-racking of any device.
Power cycling a router, server, switch and soft-booting a server.
Inspecting devices to assess equipment status.
Re-seating or replacing components or cables.
Swapping removable storage media.
Perform RMA/Reverse logistics on hardware components.
Installing and replacing Fiber Optics or Gigabit Interface Converters.
Labelling/inventory equipment plus digital picture and serial number / barcode scanning.
Provide 24 x 7 support as part of a technical rota - on day and / or night shifts.
Requirements
Competencies and Skills:
Essential:
German driving licence
A gift for manual work
English language
Problem solving mentality
Customer orientation
Desirable:
General IT knowledge
German language
First Aid
Experience and Qualification:
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Demonstrate a flexible approach to the role, with the ability to adapt and react to customer needs
